We serve public and private clients throughout the country with office locations in Minnesota and North Carolina. We embrace challenging projects and work hard to help our clients find success. Summary Sambatek is seeking a Client Service Manager to help grow and lead our Public Services practice. This is an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven role for an experienced civil engineering professional who enjoys building strong client partnerships, pursuing new opportunities, and leading successful projects. The Client Service Manager will help shape the growth of our public-sector practice through business development, client engagement, team leadership, and project delivery. This individual will bring an established network of public-sector relationships and a strong understanding of the unique needs, processes, and opportunities within the public market. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who is motivated by the opportunity to grow both their own career and the practice, while helping our clients and project teams succeed.

Work Location:

Hybrid- flexible to work in office and remotely

Expected Compensation Range:

$140,000 - 200,000 annually (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)

Pay Rate Type:

Salary Responsibilities Grow Sambatek's public-sector business by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and partnering with marketing and leadership teams on strategic pursuits

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with public-sector clients, agencies, and industry partners

Lead client development and retention efforts, with a focus on delivering an exceptional client experience

Develop and execute annual business development and marketing strategies to support growth within the Public Services practice

Identify and pursue RFP and other project opportunities, including developing proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets

Build strategic partnerships and collaborate across Sambatek's practices to pursue opportunities and deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients

Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients and help identify opportunities to expand Sambatek's services and relationships

Lead projects for strategic public-sector clients, providing hands-on leadership throughout project delivery

Establish project scopes and budgets and work closely with project teams to ensure projects are delivered with high quality, within budget, and on schedule

Provide collaborative leadership and mentorship to project teams, helping staff grow their technical and professional skills

Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve business development, client service, and project delivery processes

Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture where teams share knowledge, resources, and expertise to achieve successful project outcomes Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Established relationships and a demonstrated network within the public-sector transportation or municipal markets

Experience with business development, client relationship management, and pursuit of new project opportunities

Proven ability to develop proposals, scopes of work, project budgets, and other business development materials

Strong knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations, processes, and requirements related to public-sector projects

Demonstrated experience successfully managing projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and profitability

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop project teams

Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate at all levels of an organization

Entrepreneurial mindset with the initiative and vision to identify opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the Public Services practice

Collaborative and positive approach, with a commitment to sharing resources, knowledge, and expertise to support team and project success Physical Demands and Work Environment Work is primarily performed in an office environment
