This position is responsible for keeping our daily service operations running efficiently by coordinating technicians, managing schedules, optimizing routes, and providing exceptional customer support. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and problem-solver who can confidently manage a busy dispatch schedule while providing outstanding service to our customers over the phone. Dispatching, route planning, technician coordination, and real-time scheduling are the primary responsibilities of this position. What You'll Do Dispatching & Route Management Dispatch technicians to daily service calls based on location, availability, skill set, and customer needs. Plan and optimize daily routes to maximize technician efficiency and minimize unnecessary drive time. Manage and monitor technician schedules throughout the day. Track technician progress and adjust schedules as needed. Make real-time routing and scheduling changes when appointments change, jobs run longer than expected, cancellations occur, or urgent service needs arise. Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts before they impact customers. Prioritize emergency, urgent, and time-sensitive service calls appropriately. Keep technicians informed of schedule changes, customer updates, and additional service needs. Help maximize technician productivity while maintaining realistic and achievable schedules. Maintain accurate dispatch, scheduling, and technician status information. Work closely with management and field technicians to keep daily operations running smoothly. Customer Service & Phone Support Provide exceptional customer service over the phone in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner. Listen carefully to customers, ask questions, and determine the best way to assist them. Troubleshoot basic equipment issues over the phone and determine whether the issue can be resolved remotely or requires a technician. Walk customers through basic equipment operation and troubleshooting steps. Identify the type of service a customer needs and gather accurate information for the technician. Schedule service appointments based on customer needs and technician availability. Provide customers with accurate appointment windows and service updates. Communicate schedule changes or delays professionally and proactively. Handle customer concerns and work toward a positive resolution. Administrative & Operational Support Maintain accurate customer, scheduling, and dispatch information. Enter and update service information in company systems. Use Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems to manage schedules, records, and communications. Assist with operational reporting and tracking. Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information. Help identify opportunities to improve routing, scheduling, communication, and overall efficiency. Work as part of a team to support the company's daily operations and customer-service goals. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will be: Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities at once. An excellent communicator with strong phone and customer-service skills. A problem-solver who can think quickly and make sound decisions. Comfortable troubleshooting equipment and determining the appropriate next step. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy. Calm under pressure and able to manage a fast-paced dispatch environment. Flexible and adaptable when schedules or priorities change. Geographically knowledgeable and capable of developing efficient routes. Professional and dependable with a positive attitude. Self-motivated, while also being a strong team player. Comfortable learning and using dispatch, scheduling, and computer software. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. A strong multitasker with excellent time-management skills. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is a plus: Dispatching Route planning or logistics Field-service coordination Scheduling Customer service Call center or phone support Equipment troubleshooting Service-based businesses Transportation or fleet coordination Why This Position Matters This position is at the center of our daily operations. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
