Job Description

Job Overview The Customer Service/Office Associate is the primary contact for customers and is responsible for performing a wide range of clerical and administrative duties including receiving/processing orders, scheduling, invoicing, and ordering office/janitorial supplies. The members of the Customer Service department also provide office receptionist support by answering the main phone line, greeting plant visitors, and managing inbound deliveries at the track gate. Responsibilities Performs daily processing of orders through E1 and FUSE software programs, and downloads into the Clear Path program for production scheduling, Ensure all orders entered or received into the system are verified against the original source to ensure accuracy, Communicate with customers as needed to provide information about products, take, or enter orders, or obtain details of their concerns, Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken. Promptly refer unresolved issues to manager for resolution, Maintain an ongoing harmonious working relationship with all customers both internally and externally, Respond in a timely manner to all inquiries from the Production floor, Prepare and distribute accurate daily Production Reports as scheduled, Replenish office supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate supplies are on hand, Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and all safety policies, Maintain professional appearance and conduct with a respectful and courteous demeanor, Answer main telephone line, routing calls as required, Greet and direct visitors to the front office, assist with sign-in procedures, Other duties may be assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, combined with sufficient prior work experience to gain necessary computer skills. Prior Customer Service experience strongly preferred. Experience with multi-line phone systems, effective communication, professionalism, multitasking and organizational ability, and intermediate computer skills. Prior experience in a busy multi-tasking office environment very helpful. Two prior years office administrative experience desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job includes long periods of sitting while performing tasks, Full range of motion required for operating keyboard, mouse, copier, label maker, and other office related equipment as necessary, Must be able to hear for verbal telephone communication, Must be able to see and read a variety of written correspondence and instructions, Some occasional squatting may be required to look inside cabinets, and to see items at a lower level, Lifting generally less than 20 lbs, associates are encouraged to ask for help for heavy items as needed.
