Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Intake Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for conducting intake assessments for court-mandated clients, ensuring accurate documentation, and facilitating a smooth onboarding process into services. This position focuses exclusively on intake services and does not include ongoing therapy or group facilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments for court-ordered clients Gather and document psychosocial, legal, and clinical information accurately and efficiently Review court documentation and ensure compliance with referral requirements Coordinate with internal staff regarding client placement and service needs Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant records in accordance with agency and regulatory standards Communicate professionally with referral sources, probation officers, and court personnel as needed Ensure a respectful, structured, and professional intake experience for all clients
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health or related field Experience working with court-mandated or forensic populations strongly preferred Knowledge of documentation standards and compliance requirements
Preferred Skills:
Experience conducting structured clinical or biopsychosocial assessments Familiarity with substance use and/or mental health treatment settings Ability to work independently and manage a consistent intake schedule Bi-lingual Spanish - reading, writing, and speaking
Additional Information:
This position requires conducting intakes in both our Phoenix location (2400 W. Dunlap Ave.) and Mesa location (145 E. University Dr.) on a rotating basis each week. Schedule varies Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm. This position is dedicated solely to intake services. The selected candidate will not be responsible for ongoing treatment, group facilitation, or caseload management beyond the intake proces Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage challenging client interactions Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
