Job Description

Position Summary The Color Assistant supports the day-to-day execution of color development across the product creation process. This role works closely with the Material & Color Innovation team to help maintain color standards, organize and track color submissions, support lab dip reviews, and ensure accurate color information is communicated to internal teams and external suppliers. This is an entry-level position for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and interested in learning more about color, materials, apparel, and product development. In addition to primary Color responsibilities, this position will provide support to the Customer Service team as needed during periods of high volume or additional coverage needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Support seasonal color development across materials, trims, and products.
  • Receive, label, organize, and track lab dips, strike-offs, color standards, and other color submissions.
  • Maintain physical and digital color libraries.
  • Prepare color submissions and standards for review.
  • Update color trackers and maintain accurate development records.
  • Follow up on outstanding submissions and development timelines.
  • Assist with communicating color comments, approvals, and revisions to suppliers.
  • Support consistency of approved colors across materials and product categories.
  • Maintain accurate color names, codes, standards, and related information in internal systems.
  • Prepare samples, standards, and documentation for color review meetings.
  • Assist with organizing production color submissions and approved standards.
  • Identify potential color discrepancies and escalate them to the appropriate team member.
  • Support general administrative and organizational needs within the Material & Color Innovation team.
  • Assist with additional color, material, or product development projects as assigned. Customer Service Support
  • Provide Customer Service coverage when additional support is needed.
  • Assist customers with general product, order, and service-related questions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries professionally and accurately.
  • Escalate product, technical, or service issues to the appropriate team member.
  • Help maintain a positive and consistent customer experience. Qualifications
  • No previous color or textile experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Dependable and able to follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Comfortable working with physical samples, spreadsheets, and tracking documents.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and similar applications.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn about color, textiles, apparel, and product development.
  • Comfortable assisting customers when Customer Service support is needed.
Preferred Experience Previous experience in retail, customer service, apparel, textiles, sample organization, administrative support, or product-related environments is helpful but not required. Key Competencies Attention to

Willingly supports the Color team and other areas of the business when additional help is needed. Role Focus The primary responsibility of this position is supporting Color Development and Execution. Customer Service responsibilities will be assigned as needed based on business demands and available workload.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
