Job Description

Wanship Transportation is an established trucking company with over 80 trucks and 140 trailers. Wanship is based in Salt Lake City, UT with a strong presence in Northern California. We specialize in less than truckload (LTL), temperature-controlled, 2nd-day freight delivery to the western United States. We have seen unprecedented growth in the last 18 months and are anticipating another explosive year. We need your help expanding our customer base in Northern California. This is a great opportunity for you to establish yourself with a growing company that cares about its employees, customers, and the long-term viability of the company. Each day you will assist in putting the freight puzzle together. You will work with a team of freight planners, customer service specialists, drivers, and a warehouse manager to bring our daily routes to life and see them through to completion. Our customer shipments may require special price negotiations, and others may require special handling and appointments, but all will be cared for, from start to finish, by you and your team. You will have the full support of our, world-class truck drivers, first-rate equipment, technology, and an amazing staff of associates. If you are our person, feel free to call Tiphannie directly at 385-399-4370. Responsibilities Book, coordinate, schedule, track, and manage the shipments of refrigerated LTL freight. Contact new and existing customers to secure outbound freight to Utah, Colorado, Idaho, and the Pacific Northwest. Follow orders through delivery and provide updates during order entry, scheduling, delivery, invoicing, and payment. Problem solve as challenges are presented. Qualifications Load Planning, refrigerated LTL, truckload distribution or transportation customer service. Brokerage and rates experience preferred. Excellent computer skills Excellent communication skills A history of reliability and punctuality A great work history Key Attributes Problem resolution skills Ability to read and understand contracts Creative, strong negotiation skills. Ability to work with the latest technologies. An obsession for great customer service.
