Full-time, 8-hour days, Monday-Friday About the Position Jillian Justice Insurance Agency is seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Licensed Customer Service Representative / Client Service Advisor to join our small, fast-paced insurance agency in Yuba City. We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent service, stays organized when managing multiple priorities, and is comfortable taking ownership of their work. Our agency handles a high volume of client needs and time-sensitive tasks, so the right person will be task-oriented, deadline-conscious, resourceful, and able to manage their day independently . This is a great position for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and working in an environment where no two days are exactly the same. What You'll Do You will serve as an important point of contact for our clients and help manage their day-to-day insurance needs, including: Assist customers by phone, email, and text Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and other service requests Assist clients with billing questions, payments, policy documents, and general coverage questions Review policies and renewal information for accuracy and identify items requiring attention Follow up with clients regarding outstanding documents, signatures, underwriting requirements, payments, and other deadlines Communicate with insurance carriers and underwriting departments to resolve policy and client issues Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client interactions and policy activity Manage a daily workload consisting of multiple tasks, follow-ups, and deadlines Identify opportunities to improve a client's insurance protection and refer coverage needs to the appropriate team member Help educate clients so they better understand their policies, coverage options, and insurance responsibilities Assist other team members when priorities shift or additional support is needed Perform additional agency duties as needed What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who can be trusted to manage their responsibilities without needing constant direction. You should be comfortable identifying what needs to be done, prioritizing your workload, researching answers, and following a task through to completion.
You should be:
Currently licensed in California Property & Casualty insurance Customer-service oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills Organized and highly task-oriented Comfortable working with numerous deadlines and competing priorities Able to self-pace and manage your time effectively throughout the workday A strong problem solver who will research and work toward a solution before escalating an issue Detail-oriented, particularly when working with policy information, coverage, documentation, and client records Comfortable learning and working within multiple insurance carrier systems and agency technology platforms Able to communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, underwriters, and carrier representatives Dependable and consistent with attendance, follow-through, and completion of assigned responsibilities Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a small team Adaptable and willing to pivot when agency priorities or client needs change A positive team player who understands that working in a small business sometimes means helping outside of your normal day-to-day responsibilities Able to accept feedback, learn from mistakes, and continue developing professionally Able to maintain professionalism and composure when working with frustrated or upset customers Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential client and financial information Able to pass a background check Experience Previous insurance agency experience is strongly preferred. Experience servicing personal lines insurance, including auto, home, umbrella, recreational vehicles, and related products, is especially valuable. Candidates with experience managing renewals, endorsements, underwriting requests, billing issues, remarketing, client retention, or account reviews are encouraged to apply.
