We have an immediate opening for a Service Writer in our ever growing office. You will be responsible for being the liaison between the business and the customers, as well as third-party vendors, by educating the customer on necessary repairs and by performing cost estimates for repairs/transactions. This position will also serve as a back-up to our Mobile Service Coordinator. Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Resolve repairs for customers by communicating with the Service Technician, Shop Foreman, Parts Department and, most importantly, the customer Quickly respond to customers, either in person or via phone, to ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective assistance Maintain and control work orders to ensure flow of assigned jobs Perform all daily functions to ensure customer needs are met in a timely and efficient manner Assign jobs to the proper technician based upon the technician's capabilities and training to ensure that the highest quality of work is delivered Handle incoming calls to meet the caller's expectations in a professional and timely manner. Write and complete work orders in a professional style Communicate customer needs with Service Technicians and Shop Foreman Acting as the backup for mobile service, being the point of contact for customers who require mobile service. This includes scheduling, collaborating with mobile technicians to ensure they have the necessary tools, equipment, and parts for the job, & preparing and presenting service estimates to customers, including cost breakdowns and timelines.
You will need to have:
Graduation from High School or GED, required Must possess a valid driver's license with a good-standing MVR 2 years of previously related experience in a service writer role, preferred Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments We offer a great benefit package including: No Night/Weekend/Holiday shifts.
