Job Summary Peter T. Surapine & Co. is hiring a motivated and personable Customer Service Representative to join our customer care team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys direct customer interaction and takes pride in delivering timely, accurate, and friendly service. You will be responsible for fielding questions, addressing concerns, and guiding customers through our services while upholding the company's high standards of professionalism and respect. Primary Responsibilities Handle incoming customer communications via phone, email, web forms, and in-person visits, ensuring each inquiry receives a prompt and helpful response. Explain product features, service options, and company policies clearly to customers and prospective clients. Assess customer issues, provide practical solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution and satisfaction. Process sales orders, returns, credits, cancellations, and other transactional requests accurately and efficiently. Keep detailed, up-to-date records of customer interactions in the designated system and escalate unresolved matters when needed. Coordinate with colleagues across departments to expedite problem resolution and improve service delivery. Observe privacy and confidentiality policies while protecting customer data and company information. Support routine administrative functions including filing, scheduling, and maintaining office supplies. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certifications are a plus. Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or administrative roles preferred. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and clarity. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and comfort learning new software and CRM platforms. Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and adapt to changing customer needs. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
