Akkodis is seeking a Renewable Energy Specialist (Sr Interconnection Specialist) with a client in Wilmington, Delaware for 12 months contract.

12 Months contract (possible extension) Pay rate: $40-45/hr on W2 (The pay rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Renewable Energy Specialist / Senior Interconnection Specialist to support renewable energy and interconnection activities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable independently managing multiple priorities while maintaining a strong customer-focused approach. This position requires someone who can interpret solar and interconnection information, identify discrepancies, research issues, and determine appropriate next steps while collaborating effectively with customers, internal teams, and other stakeholders. Experience in solar, renewable energy, utilities, or regulatory environments is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze solar and renewable energy interconnection applications and related information. Interpret technical, procedural, and regulatory requirements and ensure applications meet established guidelines. Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential issues within applications or supporting documentation. Independently research issues and determine appropriate next steps or resolutions. Manage multiple applications and priorities in a high-volume environment while consistently meeting deadlines. Communicate professionally with customers regarding questions, application requirements, status updates, and escalations. Collaborate with internal teams and other stakeholders to resolve issues and move applications through the interconnection process. Exercise sound judgment when handling complex or non-routine situations. Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and overall customer experience. Take ownership of assigned work and proactively address issues with minimal supervision. Maintain accurate and detailed records and documentation. Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and analytical tools to review, organize, and interpret information. Adapt quickly to changing priorities, processes, and business requirements. Learn and apply information beyond formal training and established job aids when necessary.
