- Coordinates the schedules and maintains contact with drivers throughout the day for delivery trucks of products such as ready-mix, sand, gravel, soil, asphalt, etc.
- Answers telephone, radio, and email to take and input orders from company customers.
- Possesses a strong knowledge of available mixes and accurately schedules orders according to the system.
- Utilizes company systems to monitor and manage customer expectations.
- Maintains strict adherence to company policies, safety/OSHA requirements and procedures.
- Possesses a professional attitude while interacting with peers, contractors and general public
- Monitors any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries
- May perform other related duties such as input data into computer, ticket timer, shop timecards, create driver schedule work times for following day, if needed. Requirements
- Have a strong understanding of DOT transportation regulations and applicable state laws.
- Basic mathematical skills (writing/understanding basic equations)
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn required systems.
- Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area.
- Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.
- Ability to communicate, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Must be willing to work flexible schedule including night.
