Duties Operate the cash register accurately, handling all cash, credit card, and digital payments with efficiency and integrity Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly Conduct product demonstrations and upselling to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and visually appealing Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, merchandising products, and conducting stock counts Process retail sales transactions smoothly while adhering to store policies on cash handling and register procedures Use POS (Point of Sale) systems effectively to record sales, returns, exchanges, and refunds accurately Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers in both bilingual (if applicable) languages to serve diverse communities Proven experience in cashiering, retail sales, or customer service roles with a focus on POS systems and cash register operations Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills to support team members during busy periods Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries or follow-up calls professionally Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and effective upselling strategies Skilled in cashiering procedures including cash drawer handling, balancing registers, and managing cash handling responsibilities This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their retail skills in a lively environment.
