Join us to make a positive impact in our island community! Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Membership Services Representative Floater to join our team at VICFCU. As a front-line representative, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding member service, processing transactions, and promoting our financial products to support our members' financial success. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional member service by processing transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries, with accuracy and efficiency. Build and maintain strong relationships with members by identifying their financial needs and recommending appropriate VICFCU products and services, such as savings accounts, loans, and digital banking solutions. Assist with account openings, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with credit union policies, including Customer Identification Program (CIP), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations. Educate members on credit union services, promoting features like online banking and financial wellness programs to enhance their experience. Collaborate with team members to achieve service and sales goals, contributing to a positive and cohesive work environment. Maintain a professional appearance and workspace, adhering to VICFCU's standards for security, compliance, and member confidentiality. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay informed about credit union products, services, and industry regulations.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-high school education or training preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution or related field. Cash-handling and sales experience is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing world-class member service. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate transaction processing. Ability to learn and apply knowledge of credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in basic computer operations, including word processing and spreadsheet software; familiarity with banking systems is a plus. Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle member inquiries and complaints professionally.
