Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Customer Service Representative (Teller) to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support in various financial services. Your ability to build relationships and effectively communicate will be essential in assisting customers with their banking needs, ensuring their satisfaction while promoting our products and services. Duties Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering solutions related to financial products and services. Engage in financial sales by promoting credit union products, upselling services, and identifying customer needs to enhance their experience. Manage customer relationships through effective communication and follow-ups, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Implement fraud prevention and detection measures to safeguard customer accounts and maintain trust. Handle cash management tasks including cash handling, cashiering, debits & credits, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. Utilize financial software for processing transactions and managing customer accounts efficiently. Perform basic math calculations to ensure accuracy in transactions and assist customers with retail math inquiries. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to company policies and procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service or a related field within the financial services industry is preferred. Strong skills in relationship management with the ability to foster positive interactions with customers. Familiarity with loan processing, origination, and basic banking operations is advantageous. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to convey information clearly. Proficiency in basic math skills; capability of performing calculations accurately. Experience with cash handling practices; understanding of cash management principles. Knowledge of financial software applications; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus. A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
