Job Summary Join out team at Interstate All Battery Center! We are looking for a dependable, customer focused team memeber who enjoys working with people and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. This position combines automotive battery installation with front-counter customer service, phone calls, sales, and day to day store operations. Responsibilities Install batteries safely and accurately in vehicles or equipment, following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols Educate customers about battery features, benefits, and proper maintenance Assist customers with retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring smooth checkout processes Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering upselling opportunities, and guiding product selections Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, merchandising products attractively, and organizing inventory efficiently Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cashiering, and cash drawer balancing with attention to detail Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or scheduling appointments, ensuring clear communication Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math to process transactions accurately Strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers effectively and professionally Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for team collaboration Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for retail transactions and inventory management Familiarity with merchandising standards and product knowledge in automotive or related retail sectors is beneficial Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions at every touchpoint Join us as a Battery Installation and Customer Service Associate where your energy, enthusiasm, and dedication will drive success—both for our customers and your career growth!
