Retail Cashier & Compliance Associate Pay:

Full-time Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and task-driven individual to join our team. This role is more than just a cashier position; you will be the final checkpoint for firearm transactions, ensuring federal compliance while providing a welcoming experience for our customers. While previous firearm experience is not required (we provide full training!), a valid FOID card and a commitment to accuracy are must-haves.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Documentation:

Accurately process Federal Form 4473 for firearm transactions. This requires extreme attention to detail and zero errors.

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly, answer phone calls professionally, and assist with locating products in the store.

Transactions:

Efficiently handle cash, credit, and check transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.

Logistics:

Assist with shipping miscellaneous items (including firearms) and processing returns/exchanges according to store policy.

Safety:

Maintain a clean workspace and handle all firearms in a safe, strictly regulated manner at all times.

Requirements:

Must possess a valid Illinois FOID card OR an out-of-state driver's license. Must be 21+ years of age (Federal requirement for this role). Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (for shipping/stocking).
