In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals boarding in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and handling, ensuring that all pets receive the attention and love they deserve while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising dogs and other pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management. Assist in administering medications as directed by veterinary staff. Kennel duties will not take all day- ideal candidate will be cross-trained as a Client Service representative. Hours will be Monday- Friday 7 am- 1 pm with rotating weekend shifts. Holiday availability is required. Experience Candidates should ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas: Dog handling techniques that promote positive behavior. Veterinary experience. Experience in pet sitting or caring for animals in a home environment. Background in kennel operations or animal care facilities is preferred. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, particularly when handling larger breeds or equipment.
