Yard Customer Service Responsibilities Present a friendly and accommodating atmosphere, helping our customers determine their needs and facilitate their request efficiently and accurately. Present a professional appearance. All yard personnel must be well versed in and follow all safety procedures. Must have an understanding of the products we carry, their location, and how they are sold. (i.e. each, piece, lineal foot) Assist customers with their orders from stock and place them in customers' vehicles. Must be comfortable operating forklift as needed for business operations. Make up loads for delivery as instructed by supervisor. Assists fellow employees, cleans yard, including snow shoveling/sanding, reports low stock, helps drivers, and unloads vendor trucks, reporting any safety issues to a supervisor. Putting inventory in racks and "A" frames, keeping them well organized. Covers guard shack which involves checking incoming and outgoing traffic. All other duties as assigned, including working at other locations as needed. Qualifications Knowledge of lumber products and how they are sold. Proven ability to meet established deadlines. Excellent organizational skills. Strong attention to detail.
