Nauset Marine is one of the most knowledgeable, trusted, and well-respected marine facilities in Massachusetts — and has been for over 60 years. We work on some of the most interesting boats on Cape Cod, and no two days here look the same. We're looking for an organized, customer-focused professiona l to join our team as a full-time Service Writer . About the Role As Service Writer, you'll be the primary point of contact between our boating clients and our service department. You'll manage the intake and flow of service work — writing accurate work orders, keeping customers informed on their status, and making sure every interaction reflects the quality Nauset Marine is known for. This is a role for someone who wants variety and doesn't mind a fast pace. You'll work alongside experienced managers and technicians who take real pride in their craft, on a team that supports each other and genuinely enjoys what they do. Responsibilities Serve as the main liaison between customers, the service team, and technicians, in person and by phone Receive service requests and write clear, accurate work orders, including scope of work and parts needed Communicate proactively with customers on repair timelines, estimates, and status updates Coordinate with technicians on jobs and work orders Explain invoices and bill clients for work performed Maintain organized service records Suggest recommended maintenance and service upgrades where appropriate Qualifications Previous experience as a service writer, service advisor, or in a high-volume customer service role preferred — marine background a plus Strong communication and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple jobs at once Working knowledge of marine systems (mechanical, electrical, rigging) a plus Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities Experience with Dockmaster or similar dealership/marina management software a plus A genuine interest in boating and the marine industry Reliable and available year-round, including weekends during peak season What We Offer A collaborative, supportive team environment with hands-on, experienced managers Exposure to a wide range of interesting projects, clients, and boats Competitive pay + overtime Full benefits package, including health insurance and 401(k) Opportunity to grow within an expanding multi-location marine operation Apply today online, contact Nauset Marine at (508) 255-0777, or stop by 45 Rt 6A, Orleans, MA 02653.
