Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Insurance Agent role based in South Yarmouth, MA. The Insurance Agent will consult with prospective and existing clients to assess their insurance needs, explain coverage options, and recommend appropriate policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include, conducting policy reviews, preparing quotes, processing applications, and managing renewals. The role also involves handling customer inquiries, resolving billing or coverage questions, and maintaining accurate client records in agency systems. The Insurance Agent will collaborate with the agency team to meet sales and service goals while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and carrier requirements.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage, with the ability to match coverage options to client needs. Strong knowledge of Insurance products and basic Finance principles to explain policy terms, premiums, and coverage implications clearly. Excellent Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and professional communication in person, by phone, and in writing. State insurance producer/license (or eligibility to obtain) and familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements. Proficiency with office and agency management software, and the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple client accounts and deadlines. Comfort with prospecting, networking, and building long-term client relationships within the local community. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is beneficial.
