In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with various store operations. Your ability to engage with customers and maintain a positive shopping experience will be crucial to our success. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries, ensuring a friendly atmosphere. Operate the cash register efficiently, processing transactions accurately. Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability. Assist in organizing merchandise displays to enhance the shopping experience. Provide knowledgeable answers to customer questions regarding products and services. Promote sales through effective communication and understanding of customer needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions securely. Experience in a grocery store environment is a plus but not required. A proactive approach to selling products and assisting customers in their shopping experience. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
