Please Note:
This position requires an active Property & Casualty Insurance License and prior insurance agency experience. We are seeking experienced insurance professionals who can immediately contribute to client retention, policy servicing, underwriting support, and exceptional customer care. Candidates without an active license or relevant insurance experience will not be considered. What You'll Do As a Licensed Service Agent, you will play a vital role in supporting clients and ensuring their insurance needs are met through outstanding service, strong industry knowledge, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate active listening, empathy, rapport building, and solutions-focused problem solving when assisting customers. Create and advise on personalized insurance proposals based on client needs. Provide professional consultations regarding client service needs. Maintain accurate workflow awareness and activity documentation in compliance with agency procedures. Process insured policy change requests. Follow up to verify the accuracy of endorsements processed by the carrier. Underwrite, rewrite, re-quote, reinstate, and cancel policies on behalf of insureds. Obtain underwriting information and supporting documentation from clients on behalf of carriers. Document all client interactions within the agency management system. Obtain all carrier-required signatures, forms, and applications. Process insured payments. Review billing accounts with insureds. Update and maintain accurate client contact information. Provide proof of insurance documentation, including binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, ID cards, declaration pages, and evidence of property forms. Continuously expand insurance knowledge and apply it to daily responsibilities. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced insurance professional who enjoys helping clients, building relationships, and working collaboratively with a team. A Successful Candidate Will Have Strong knowledge of insurance products and coverages. Independent agency experience preferred. Excellent communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a client-first mindset. Experience delivering tailored client solutions and building long-term client relationships. A track record of driving client retention and generating multi-line referrals. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Qualifications Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required. 3+ years of Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, or Independent Agency experience strongly preferred. Independent agency experience preferred. High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with CRM and agency management systems. Working knowledge of insurance agency operations, coverages, rates, markets, and applicable insurance laws, codes, and regulations. Exceptional interpersonal skills.
