Job Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager / Producer to join a growing independent insurance agency. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with personal lines insurance and is comfortable managing client accounts, communicating with carriers, and handling day-to-day policy needs. Responsibilities Manage and service an existing portfolio of personal lines accounts. Handle personal auto, homeowners, renters, umbrella, and related insurance policies. Prepare quotes, applications, policy changes, endorsements, and renewals. Communicate with clients regarding coverage, policy changes, billing, renewals, and other insurance-related questions. Review policies and client accounts to ensure coverage is appropriate and up to date. Follow up on applications, underwriting requirements, renewals, and outstanding documents. Work directly with insurance carriers and underwriters to resolve policy and account issues. Maintain accurate and complete client records. Build strong, long-term relationships with clients. Provide timely and professional customer service. Assist with account retention and identify opportunities to improve the overall client relationship. Manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced agency environment. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth account handling and excellent client service. Qualifications 1-2+ years of personal lines insurance experience preferred. Experience with personal auto and homeowners insurance. Strong understanding of personal lines policies and insurance terminology. Experience working with insurance carriers and agency management systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines. Professional, dependable, and self-motivated. Strong English communication skills. Mandarin-speaking ability is a plus. NY P&C license preferred but not required for the right candidate . Candidates with relevant insurance experience who are willing to obtain a NY P&C license are encouraged to apply.
