Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Customer Service Representative who seamlessly bridges operational excellence with proactive agency growth. In this dual-focus role, you will serve as the engine of our daily operations while actively managing and expanding our personal and commercial lines accounts.

Responsibilities Office Operations & Lead Intake:

Direct incoming communications with warmth and professionalism, efficiently gather essential underwriting data for new leads, and route inquiries to elevate the overall agency standard.

Database & File Management:

Execute precise uploads within our Insurance Management System (IMS), scanning, logging, and maintaining accurate digital client archives and policy documentation.

Commercial & Personal Account Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for existing accounts—processing policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance (COIs), and renewal reviews.

Growth & Retention:

Proactively manage billing inquiries and non-payment lists to collect premiums and avoid policy lapses; actively quote new personal and commercial accounts to drive agency expansion.

Qualifications Licensing:

Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred, or the ability/willingness to obtain a P&C license shortly after hire (sponsorship provided).

Industry Experience:

1-3 years of experience working within an independent insurance agency or broader insurance setting.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong command of Agency Management Systems, carrier portals, and standard office tools (MS Office or Google Workspace).

Communication & Tact:

Excellent verbal and written skills with a strong phone demeanor; skilled at handling sensitive billing discussions with empathy, firmness, and professionalism.

Organization & Detail:

Superior multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail while managing tight operational timelines.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
