Job Description
Part-Time Client Outreach & Appointment Setting Specialist We are a two-advisor financial planning practice in Newport Beach hiring a confident, goal-oriented person to contact existing policyholders and schedule meetings with an advisor. This is a high-volume outbound appointment-setting role, not a traditional administrative-assistant position. Most of your shift will be spent making calls, leaving voicemails, following up, and recording each result. Many people will not answer, and some will not be interested. We need someone who remains persistent, communicates naturally, and is motivated by measurable results. We provide the contact lists, training, approved talking points, and systems. You will not provide financial advice or recommend products. You will be expected to clearly explain the reason for the call, respond to common hesitation using approved language, confidently ask for the appointment, and complete the required follow-up. What you will do Make a high volume of outbound calls to existing policyholders Leave professional voicemail messages and complete follow-up attempts Schedule and confirm meetings with an advisor Accurately document every call and outcome in Excel and approved systems Participate in regular coaching and apply feedback Follow all privacy and financial-services compliance procedures Success is measured by productive call activity, appointments booked and held, professional call quality, accurate records, completed follow-up, and dependable attendance. Schedule and hybrid work This is a part-time W-2 position for approximately 30 hours per week. Initial training will take place in person at our Newport Beach office. Once training is complete and basic performance and reliability standards are consistently met, the position will transition to hybrid work. After training, you may select a consistent 30-hour schedule within Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., subject to approval and business needs. At least one scheduled in-office day per week is expected after training. This is not currently a fully remote position. Applicants must live within reasonable driving distance of Newport Beach. Who we are looking for Confident, friendly, and persuasive phone communication Goal-oriented and comfortable being measured on results Persistent without becoming pushy Dependable attendance and consistent follow-through Accurate and honest recordkeeping Ability to stay focused while working independently Basic comfort with Excel, email, calendars, and computers Interest in a stable, long-term 30-hour-per-week position Previous outbound calling, appointment-setting, customer-service, call-center, insurance, or financial-services experience is helpful but not required. No financial license is required. Starting pay is $23 per hour, with eligibility to increase to $24 per hour following a successful 90-day review. Paid training and employee-selected scheduling after training are provided.
