This position combines office administrative duties with customer service and professional shoe fitting assistance. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is comfortable learning footwear fitting techniques, and takes pride in helping customers improve their comfort, mobility, and foot health. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service & Reception Greet customers, patients, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately. Schedule and confirm appointments. Assist customers with questions regarding products, services, and appointments. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area. Professional Shoe Fitting Assistance Assist customers with measuring and evaluating footwear fit. Help customers try on shoes and orthotic-friendly footwear options. Recommend footwear based on customer needs, comfort, and fit under the guidance of trained staff. Educate customers on proper shoe sizing, fit, and footwear features. Assist with fitting therapeutic shoes, diabetic footwear, custom orthotics, and related products. Maintain product knowledge of footwear brands and available inventory. Ensure customers receive exceptional service throughout the fitting process. Administrative Support Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, and data entry. Maintain accurate customer and patient records. Prepare forms, correspondence, and office documents. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. Financial & Retail Operations Process customer payments and issue receipts. Assist with cash, check, and credit card transactions. Maintain customer accurate records. Coordinate customer special orders and product pickups. Assist with showroom presentation. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service, retail, or office experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work comfortably with customers of all ages. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Experience in footwear sales, retail, healthcare, medical office, or customer service. Experience measuring and fitting footwear. Interest in foot health, orthotics, or therapeutic footwear. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while assisting customers. Ability to bend, kneel, and assist customers with footwear fittings. Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 25 pounds. Ability to work in both office and retail showroom environments.
