  • Richmond is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our front desk team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong customer service or receptionist experience and wants to be part of a veterinary team that cares deeply about clients, patients, teamwork, and communication. Now, we are looking for the right person to step into the front desk role and help support our clients, doctors, technicians, and hospital flow. About the Role The Customer Service Representative is one of the most important roles in the hospital. You are often the first voice a client hears, the first face they see, and the person who helps set the tone for the entire visit. This role is not just answering phones or checking clients in and out. It requires someone who can multitask, communicate clearly, stay organized, support the team, and remain calm and professional during busy moments. The right person will be dependable, positive, coachable, and willing to learn. Veterinary medicine experience is strongly preferred, but strong customer service or receptionist experience is also important. What You'll Do As a Customer Service Representative, you will help create a welcoming, organized, and professional experience for clients and patients.
Responsibilities may include:
Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism Answering and managing phone calls Scheduling appointments Checking clients in and out Communicating clearly with clients, doctors, technicians, and team members Collecting and confirming client and patient information Maintaining accurate records and client communication notes Helping manage client questions, concerns, and requests Supporting prescription, refill, and follow-up communication Keeping the lobby and front desk organized and welcoming Helping support daily clinic flow Remaining calm and professional during busy or stressful moments Working closely with the hospital team to create a smooth client and patient experience What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will bring: Customer service or receptionist experience Veterinary medicine experience preferred Strong phone and communication skills Ability to multitask in a busy environment Professional and compassionate demeanor Strong organizational skills Positive attitude and team-first mindset Dependability and strong follow-through Comfort receiving feedback, coaching, and ongoing training Motivation to learn, grow, and develop within the practice Ability to work closely with the team and independently when needed You'll Be a Strong Fit If You Are A fast learner who catches on quickly Dependable and accountable Comfortable working in a busy environment Kind, professional, and steady with clients Able to handle multiple things at once without losing focus A strong communicator A true team player Open to feedback and willing to keep improving Someone who takes pride in representing the hospital well Looking for a place where you can grow What Matters to Us At NVC, client service matters deeply.
