We make complex government and financial processes, like Social Security disability, veterans benefits, tax debt relief, and Medicare advocacy, simple, approachable, and fair. Our friendly AI agent, Jake, works alongside expert advocates to guide clients through intimidating systems with clarity and confidence. We've raised $21m so far and are backed by top VCs. We're growing fast and building a company people actually want to be part of. This Isn't a Normal Customer Service Job If you're looking for a job where you read a script, answer the phone, and move on to the next call, this probably isn't it. Our clients are dealing with complicated systems and often have a lot of questions. When they call, they need someone who can listen, figure out what's going on, and actually help. We're looking for someone who wants to own the problem , not just answer the question. What You'll Actually Be Doing Taking inbound calls from Turnout clients and helping them with questions about their case Explaining complicated processes in a way that actually makes sense Helping clients understand what they need to do next and why Looking up case information in Chronicle and other internal systems Helping clients complete or understand forms and required documentation Troubleshooting issues and figuring out the best path to resolution Escalating issues when needed and making sure they get to the right person Handling general account and billing questions Accurately documenting calls and client interactions Working with Sales, Operations, Case Management, and other teams to get things done Following our processes while helping us improve them as we grow Who You Are You actually like helping people You're a good listener and can have a real conversation instead of sounding like a robot You stay calm when someone is frustrated, confused, or upset You're a problem solver — you don't immediately throw an issue over the wall to someone else You're organized and pay attention to details You can learn new systems quickly You're comfortable handling a high volume of calls and staying productive You take ownership and follow things through You care about doing things right , not just doing them fast You want to grow and take on more responsibility over time
You'll Probably Succeed Here If You:
Have customer service, call center, or other client-facing experience Have worked in a process-heavy environment like healthcare, legal services, insurance, or government benefits Are comfortable learning new software and navigating multiple systems Are naturally curious and like figuring out how things work Are coachable but also willing to bring your own ideas Want to be part of a team that's building, not maintaining Customer service experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person. Experience with SSD/SSI, disability claims, DDS, Chronicle, or Salesforce is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is also a plus. The Mission We help people who are stuck, overwhelmed, and don't know where to turn. A lot of the people you'll talk to aren't calling because they had a bad day. They're calling because something important in their life isn't working. You're not just answering calls. You're helping someone figure out what happens next. Why People Join (and Stay) Fast growth — top performers get opportunities to take on more Real ownership — you'll have a chance to help shape how this team works Tight team — everyone pulls their weight Great coaching — you'll get better every week Growing company — we're building, not maintaining Meaningful work — the people you're helping actually need you Compensation & Benefits $24/hour Full-time, 40 hours/week Fully in-office 401(k) with 4% match Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Growth opportunities Final Note This role isn't for everyone.
