In this role, you'll be the friendly face that helps customers complete their purchases, provides exceptional service, and ensures a smooth shopping experience. Your proactive approach will support sales goals through upselling and product demos, while maintaining an organized and inviting store atmosphere. Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly, including cash handling and credit card payments Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product selections to enhance their shopping experience Conduct product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting and well-presented Manage inventory levels through stock checks and communicating restock needs to supervisors Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely Qualifications Strong communication skills in English Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction balancing Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales experience is advantageous but not mandatory Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach Ability to stand for extended periods, move throughout the store efficiently, and handle physical tasks such as stocking displays This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to deliver outstanding service while developing essential retail skills.
