Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include processing transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and promoting products through effective upselling techniques. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Process customer transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring all cash handling procedures are followed. Provide product demonstrations and information to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services to customers. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring shelves are stocked and displays are appealing. Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly, providing solutions or directing them to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required. Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with retail math concepts is advantageous. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. Experience with supervising or training new employees is a plus. Ability to conduct product demos effectively to engage customers.
