Services To Enhance Potential (STEP) is seeking a passionate, creative, and compassionate Art Advisor to join our Progressive Art Studio Collective (PASC) team. This unique opportunity allows you to mentor and support artists with disabilities while helping them develop and share their creative voices. About the Role

• Serve as a mentor, educator, and advocate for artists participating in the studio program.
• Create an inclusive environment where creativity, independence, and self-expression are celebrated. Key Responsibilities
• Provide one-on-one art instruction and support based on participant interests and goals.
• Encourage artistic growth and help participants develop their own creative style.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized studio environment.
• Manage art supplies, inventory, and studio budgets.
• Assist with curating, installing, and promoting exhibitions.
• Photograph, frame, and prepare artwork for exhibitions and displays.
• Collaborate with staff to document participant progress and achievements.
• Attend weekly meetings and complete required documentation. Qualifications
• BFA, MFA, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least one year of experience teaching or working with individuals with disabilities.
• Practicing artist with knowledge of contemporary, classical, and/or craft-based art practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to dignity, inclusion, and respect for all individuals. Additional Requirements
• Valid Michigan Driver License.
• Ability to meet STEP insurance requirements.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
