Job Description

Private school in Houston Galleria Area is seeking an experienced 1st/2nd Grade teacher to work with students through the 2026-2027 school year. We are seeking a self-motivated, high-energy educator who naturally engages with students and creates a positive, interactive learning environment. The ideal candidate takes initiative, brings enthusiasm to the classroom each day, and actively fosters student participation and excitement for learning. Must be available to start immediately. Our school prides itself on excellence, while putting the education and development of children first and foremost. To be considered for this position, you must meet all of the following requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Montessori trained background for kids 1st and 2nd Grade Must have a BA degree in education and certification(plus) Must have experience teaching Eureka Math Minimum 2-yrs experience teaching, 1st and 2nd grade (required) Must pass state background and finger print check Must be able to write and implement lesson plans Must be available to start immediately Must be able to attend field trips Must be able to do art & craft and other activities Must be able to work with students in a classroom at individual levels Energetic/Creative/Flexible/Organized Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills with parents/students Have a professional demeanor and appearance Proven track record of dependability/accountability/responsibility Communicates effectively orally or written Speak English Fluently Spanish a plus but not required Knows classroom management strategies Quick Learner with excellent communication and listening skills Excellent organizational skills, with great work ethics Must bring a positive attitude and work well with others
