About the Role We are a themed fabrication studio specializing in immersive environments, scenic props, and experiential attractions. We're looking for a highly skilled Scenic / Theming Painter with strong airbrush experience and traditional painting skills to help bring large-scale themed projects to life. This role is hands-on and detail-oriented. If you take pride in realism, texture, color, and storytelling through paint, this is for you. Responsibilities Scenic painting of themed props, sculptures, and environments Airbrush painting for detailing, gradients, aging, and realism Traditional brush and roller painting techniques Faux finishes (wood, stone, metal, weathering, distressing, patinas) Color matching and sample creation Working on foam, fiberglass, urethane coatings, MDF, and other scenic materials Collaborating with sculptors and fabricators to achieve final visual quality Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas Required Experience & Skills 2+ years of professional scenic, theming, or decorative painting experience Proven airbrush experience (detail work, blending, shading) Strong traditional painting skills (brush, roller, sponge, rag techniques) Experience with faux finishes and weathering techniques Ability to work from reference images and color direction High attention to detail and craftsmanship Reliable, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience in themed entertainment, museums, mini golf, attractions, film, or theater Experience painting large-scale props or environments Understanding of sealers, clear coats, and protective finishes Ability to work on ladders or lifts when required What We Offer Interesting, creative, hands-on projects (no boring walls) A collaborative shop environment focused on quality Competitive pay based on skill and experience Opportunity for long-term work on recurring themed projects How to Apply Please apply with: A brief summary of your experience Photos or a portfolio showing scenic painting and airbrush work (required)
