Job Description The IT Technician is responsible for assisting with all IT services. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting CCTV systems, computer hardware, and software at one or more Carnival Corporation owned and operated global destination. IT Support & User Assistance Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues within the organization Assist employees with technology problems and provide training on new software and equipment Monitor and respond to support requests, documenting all processes and resolutions Detect, diagnose, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems Report and escalate network interruptions and server outages Systems & Hardware Maintenance Repair, install, and maintain computers, laptops, and audio/visual equipment Set up and manage workstations with necessary peripheral devices such as routers and printers Monitor computer hardware performance and ensure timely upgrades or replacements Schedule and perform system upgrades and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime Maintain detailed records and logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules" Network & Security Operations Build, maintain, and optimize local networks to ensure reliability and high performance Install, configure, and manage software, applications, and system functions according to specifications Assist with installation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV cameras Support IT security initiatives to safeguard systems, devices, and data from potential threats Apply and monitor compliance with network security and organizational IT standards" Administration & Operations Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies, monitoring levels for timely reordering Support the creation and management of employee ID badges Be available on call for property-wide IT support as needed Assist with project rollouts, testing new technologies, and supporting IT enhancements Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall IT operations" Perform other duties as assigned.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required; additional education in Hospitality or a related field is a plus IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus At least 2 years of work experience in an IT related field Knowledge in commonly used Windows operating systems Effective verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Exemplary problem-solving skills Experience with networking protocols Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
