Position Location This is a Hybrid position located in Chesapeake, VA. Job Overview The role of the SME is to provide day-to-day engineering support for a variety of challenging fast pace projects for audio video networks with the DHS.
Responsibilities Essential Job Duties:
- VTC Specialist with experience in the operation, maintenance, and installation of video teleconferencing (VTC) systems up to the SCI level.
- Tuning audio devices for large conferences.
- Expertise in ensuring optimal system functionality through meticulous installation protocols and preventive maintenance routines.
- Tracking of task specific operational data,
- Operational efficiency of the commands SCI, Secret, Coalition Secret, Cross Domain, Controlled Unclassified Information, and Commercial VTC resources for conferences directly supporting the
USCGA SVTC
Product Line.- Development of technical specifications, Statements of Work (SOW) and related Government Cost Estimations (GCE) for telecommunications procurement contracts.
- Support technical documentation.
- Configuring and troubleshooting technical issues associated with AV controllers and configuring circuits.
- Developing PITCO and SOVT Plan documents
Key Responsibilities:
- Analytical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills, effectively identifying and resolving VTC faults to expedite service restoral.
- A high degree of initiative and creativity
- Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail.
- Must be able to communicate professionally both orally and written.
Job Requirements Mandatory:
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Ten (10) years of AV experience
- CompTIA Security +
- AMX Technician (Networked AV) - Level I
- EXTRON Experience.
- Must be able to attain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and able to provide driving record upon request.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
Preferred:
- Direct experience as VTC Manager
- Experience troubleshooting VTC Systems within the DoD/DHS environment.
