Job Responsibilities:

Install, program, service, troubleshoot, and repair audio/video, home automation, network, security, and access control systems (Control4, Crestron, Savant and similar) Configure and troubleshoot home networks

• switches, access points, Wi-Fi coverage, and remote management Set up, calibrate, and demonstrate home theater, distributed audio, and video distribution systems Test and document work performed on every call Identify customer needs and recommend product upgrades or system enhancements while on-site Refer larger project opportunities to the sales team Introduce clients to Pro-TechT monitoring services and service agreements when appropriate Educate clients on system operation and get them comfortable using it Participate in the after-hours on-call service rotation Complete service tickets, documentation, and billing information accurately and on time Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications:

3+ years installing and programming AV, smart home, security, or access control systems preferred Experience servicing and troubleshooting low-voltage systems Control4, Crestron, Savant, or Josh.ai programming experience is a strong plus Networking experience

• IP addressing, switches, access points, and remote management tools such as OvrC Security and alarm platform experience
• Alarm.com, DSC, or similar
• a plus High school diploma or GED required Manufacturer or industry certifications a plus (Control4, Crestron, Savant, CEDIA, AVIXA, or equivalent) Texas DPS Alarm Installer and Electronic Access Control Device Installer licenses preferred, or willingness to obtain

Compensation:

Base Pay $30.00

00 per hour, based on experience. In addition to competitive hourly pay, technicians are eligible for our Service Commission Program, including: Earn commissions on product sales made during service calls (up to 10% of product revenue, based on performance) Bonuses for qualified project referrals Bonuses for new monitoring service sign-ups Bonuses for new service agreement enrollments Monthly on-call availability stipend After-hours and on-call service calls are compensated Overtime paid at time and a half Commissions are paid after customer invoices have been collected.
