JOB DESCRIPTION
The Copywriter position is a pivotal role within the Marketing Creative team, being able to both reflect the brand voice and highlight the product's most compelling features to resonate with the target consumer. While part of a broader Marketing team, this is the only role devoted to copy, which provides a unique opportunity to influence strategy and leverage creativity. Core responsibilities include writing of seasonal brand copy, product copy and all marketing deliverables across platforms (i.e., email, direct mail, social media, POS, packaging, brand storytelling) to create an engaged customer. This highly creative and detail-oriented position requires strong operational and communication skills to work closely with many different cross-functional teams and juggle various projects at once in a fast-paced retail environment. Passion for women's fashion and consumer-led thinking is a must. Uncovering and communicating the why, the how and the inspiration behind our brand and products is something that lights you up.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Voice +
Copy Creation:
In conjunction with the VP of Marketing and Creative Manager, solidify brand voice and tone, and ensure all copy is unified within the brand guidelines. Help to update the brand copy guidelines when relevant, as creative or brand needs evolve over time. Write both digital and print copy that brings products and the NIC+ZOE brand to life for all channels, including social media, email, website, in-store, direct mail, lookbook, editorial and other ad-hoc projects. Collaborate with Merchants, Product Design, E-Commerce, Retail and Social Media teams for tight brand positioning and a consistent voice across platforms. Strategize and partner with Retail team to ensure copy meets needs of store format and partner with creative team to help identify moments to reinforce the brand story within our stores. Plan and execute a calendar and process for copy development to meet deadlines for both wholesale and DTC channels. Responsible for writing romance/product copy, product naming strategy and execution, being able to articulate strategy to key partners and ensuring that it meets the business needs.

Be an expert and up to date with fashion, apparel and lifestyle industry copy innovation, cultural trends and linguistic styles, with an eye on what our competitors are doing.• Translate insight and expertise into how we use copy for our different tactics. Innovate ways to engage our audience and build our brand through words, partnering with creative team to develop impactful, holistic campaigns. Keep up to date with trends in branding, marketing, advertising and related communications industries.
SKILL + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Excellent copywriting skills, fluent in the digital and E-comm space. Powerful interest in fashion, trends, retail and e-commerce. 3+ years of experience writing fashion/product copy, preferably for an elevated, sophisticated consumer. Bachelor's degree with a fashion, journalism, creative writing or English emphasis preferred. Experience writing across multiple channels and to different audiences. Exceptional project management skills and ability to prioritize. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Capable of working alone and in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment. Skilled at prioritizing and handling multiple projects at one time. Highly refined editing/proofreading skills. Team player with ability to effectively work with multiple cross functional partners. This is a full-time, hybrid position consisting of 3 days in-office in Natick, MA and 2 days remote. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 annually, based on what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay.
