Americus Job Responsibilities The Athletics Office is seeking a Federal Work-Study student to assist with concession stand operations during home basketball games. Duties include preparing and serving food and beverages, processing cash and card transactions, restocking supplies, setting up the concession area before games, maintaining a clean and organized work area, providing friendly customer service, and assisting with cleanup after games. Requirements Must be enrolled for Fall Semester 2026 in at least six (6) credit hours. Must be approved for Federal Student Aid for the 2026-2027 award year . Must be eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program . Must be making satisfactory academic progress. Must successfully complete a criminal background check and Credit Check. Must complete all required State of Georgia and South Georgia Technical College employment paperwork before beginning work. Students may not begin working until all required hiring paperwork has been completed and approved. Must be available to work evenings and weekends based on the home basketball game schedule. Background Requirements Candidates must pass a criminal background check before employment. Compensation $10.00 per hour Hours The student may work up to 20 hours per week , based on Federal Work-Study eligibility, and may not exceed 225 hours per semester . Work hours will primarily include evenings and weekends based on the home basketball game schedule.
