PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
As an Intern at Aurora Cooperative, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of agricultural business, including these core areas: sales, operations, precision management, grain origination, marketing and communications, information technology and finance. This internship role will provide an understanding in several different teams including agronomy, grain, energy, animal nutrition, and administration.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
We strive to include hands-on experiences that meet the goals and expectations of each student in our program. Students will not only learn about the typical day-to-day in a certain area they want to focus on, but we also incorporate various professional learning and development opportunities paired with many team-building activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a student interested in pursuing a career in agriculture to gain practical experience and establish professional connections.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, preferably in agriculture, business, or a related field. Valid Driver's License Available 12 weeks in the summer for the internship program (3rd week of May through the 1st week of August.)

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
An interest in the agricultural and cooperative industry. A basic knowledge and experience with technology (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Organization and time management skills. Must be collaborative, results-oriented and possess strong critical thinking skills. Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and outside in inclement weather. The ability to work in professional office environments is also necessary. Ability to travel within Aurora Cooperative's footprint. Flexibility to work outside of regular office hours if necessary or when possible. A willingness to learn about the cooperative system and each of the business units of Aurora Cooperative. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
