Job Description
Adams MultiMedia is seeking an Assistant Editor to join The Mount Airy News , a dynamic, community-focused weekly newspaper based in Mount Airy, North Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in keeping Surry County informed and engaged. Responsibilities include reporting on local news, writing clear and compelling articles and feature stories, photographing community events, sharing content through our website and social media platforms. and editing content This position will support the Regional Editor and assist with editorial coverage with The Mount Airy News and other regional publications when needed. The ideal candidate must be passionate about journalism and community storytelling. Preference will be given to applicants with prior newspaper reporting experience or experience working in a professional publication, as well as those with a degree in journalism or a related field.
