Orange Approved Supervisor Karla Monterrey Supervisor monterrechapman Scheduling Please use dates within Chapman Academic Calendar (chapman/academics/academic-calendar.aspx ) Desired Start Date 07/27/2026 Projected End Date 05/23/2027 Average number of hours per week Up to 19 Hrs Position Summary Information Job Description Summary In support of the Student Affairs Learning Outcomes, the Argyros Forum Student Union provides programs, resources, and services to cultivate students' connection to the Chapman community, knowledge of on-campus involvement opportunities, investment in school spirit and pride, and overall success as a Chapman student. The Lead Content Management Assistant is responsible for managing the content calendar and video assets for the digital team. Along with professional staff and in collaboration with the entire Argyros Forum Student Union team, the Lead Content Management Assistant strives to create a welcoming environment that will contribute to the University by building community, increasing the students' pride in Chapman university, and ensuring facility operations are organized and supportive of evolving student needs. All Lead Content Management Assistants are employees in the Department of Student Engagement and the Division of Student Affairs. Responsibilities Video and Content Creation Develop a content calendar for the Argyros Forum Student Union Digital Wall aligned with key milestones of the Chapman student experience and featuring student experiences across as many academic and co-curricular communities as possible. Collaborate with other staff to identify storytelling opportunities that highlight key student experiences. Manage ScreenCloud digital signage platform and create channels to ensure content is updated and varies on a weekly basis. Assist professional staff with training, team development, and scheduling shifts for Video and Content Creators. Oversee task management and progress of the Video and Content Creators. Consult with all Video and Content Creators on their projects to provide guidance and assistance as needed. Ensure final content is in compliance with appropriate copyright and other laws. Other Responsibilities Assist in other ways with all of the above as determined by supervisor. Promote the use of Student Engagement virtual engagement platforms (e.g. Panther Connect, Instagram, etc.) Attend all scheduled Argyros Forum Student Union staff meetings and training sessions. Participate in and contribute to Department of Student Engagement programs, services, experiences, and resources as determined by supervisor. Required Qualifications Because of the student-facing nature of this role, remote work is not permitted. Proficiency in video production, sound design, linear editing, and basic graphics. Prior experience and/or completed courses in video content creation/editing software. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and delegate to a large group. Commitment to teamwork, customer service, collaboration, conflict resolution, and providing service to students. Ability to exercise initiative, work independently, and hold high standards of dependability and accountability. Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels, both inside and outside the University. Ability to use tact and diplomacy and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Strong time management skills, including punctuality to arrive at shifts on-time, and the ability to prioritize duties when faced with interruptions, distractions, and fluctuating workload. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Possess attention to detail, the ability to accept direction, willingness to work and learn from colleagues and supervisor, and commitment to feedback to work performance. Willingness to accept direction and changes to responsibilities as determined by supervisor. Courteous and confident demeanor when delegating and holding others accountable. Ability to learn and use standard office equipment and various software programs Desired Qualifications Prior experience with ScreenCloud content management system. Familiarity with departments and organizations at Chapman. Knowledge of or experience with campus policies and procedures. Knowledge of topics related to student transitions, belonging, and needs in higher education. Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
