Job Description Summary Position Overview:
The Student Communications Assistant supports the Communications & Enrollment Manager at Attallah College in executing digital content strategy, event logistics, and brand storytelling across the summer term. Responsibilities Content Planning & Strategy Collaborate with the Communications & Enrollment Manager to develop and maintain a social media content calendar and a blog post calendar for the summer term. Branded Content Creation Utilize provided Canva templates to design on-brand graphics and visual assets in support of social media, events, and college communications. Operational & Logistics Support Assist with organizing materials including folders and swag bags in preparation for college events and student-facing programs. All College Meeting Support the events team during the All-College Meeting, including taking group photos and providing general event-day assistance. August 18, 2026. Chapman Orientation Day Contribute to Orientation Day for incoming undergraduate students by supporting social media coverage, preparing folders, and assembling swag bags ahead of the event. August 19, 2026. TPI Summit Attend the Thompson Policy Institute on Disability's annual summit event for real-time social media coverage and developing a blog post. August 7, 2026. Required Qualifications Little to minimal prior experience. Organized and detail orientated. Ability to retrieve accurate information, learn support processes and systems, and problem solve. Able to take initiative and work under minimal supervision. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor. Dress professionally. Familiarity with Internet web browsers and search engines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workflow applications including documents, spreadsheets, presentation slides, and shared drives/folders. Desired Qualifications Strong attention to detail, good communication and organizational skills, and effective time management. Experience using software including Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Canvas, Concur or Travel and Expense Reimbursements, Dropbox, Poll Everywhere, Qualtrics, Zoom Special Instructions to Applicants This position will be 8 hours per week.
