Job Description
Join Our Design Team We are looking for a creative and reliable Floral Designer to join our growing design team. This is a hands-on position for someone who loves flowers, has a strong eye for design, takes pride in their work, and enjoys creating meaningful floral pieces for our customers. The ideal candidate has professional floral design experience and is comfortable designing everything from everyday bouquets to sympathy arrangements and wedding flowers. You'll work alongside our team to create beautiful designs while also providing a warm, welcoming experience for customers in the shop. What You'll Do Floral Design
- Create fresh, creative, and beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets
- Design sympathy and funeral flowers, including casket sprays and other funeral arrangements
- Create wedding and event florals, including bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces, and other wedding pieces
- Prepare custom orders based on customer requests and design specifications
- Help maintain the quality, freshness, and presentation of flowers and floral products
- Assist with processing flowers, organizing supplies, and keeping the design area clean and organized
- Bring your own creativity and design perspective to our floral offerings Customer Service & Store Support
- Assist customers with floral selections, gifts, and custom orders
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate customer service
- Take orders in person and over the phone
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions
- Help with order fulfillment, including preparing orders for pickup and delivery
- Assist with general retail tasks and keeping the store looking beautiful and organized
- Work as part of a team to support the overall day-to-day operation of the shop What We're Looking For
- Previous professional floral design experience
- Experience creating bouquets, sympathy/funeral arrangements, and wedding flowers
- Strong understanding of floral mechanics, conditioning, and care
- Creative eye and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality
- Reliable and dependable
- Trustworthy and responsible
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Friendly and confident working with customers
- Strong communication and organizational skills
