Job Description

The role You will produce the visual work that carries our luxury brand into showrooms, trade shows, catalogs, and digital channels. Reporting to our Principal Creative, you will take approved creative direction and turn it into finished, production-ready files, and you will be on set for product photography. We use AI tools where they genuinely help, for ideation and for fast iteration, and we want someone fluent with them. But the craft still has to be yours. We need a designer who can build a layout from scratch, execute clean print production, and tell the difference between work that is close enough and work that is right. What you'll be working on Production design across print and digital: catalogs, spec sheets, sell sheets, signage, packaging, point-of-sale materials, and social, blog, and email graphics Building showroom graphics and trade show booth graphics from approved design direction, working to fabricator specs and templates In-house product photography and on-set support during shoots Photo editing, retouching, silo work, and color correction for product and lifestyle imagery Resizing and adapting approved creative across formats and channels Preparing files for print and fabrication vendors, and managing proofs and press checks Maintaining and organizing the asset library and template files Checking your own work against our visual standards before it goes up for review Experience/Skills 2 to 4 years of professional graphic design experience, or 1 to 2 years plus a degree in graphic design or a related field
Expert Adobe Creative Suite:
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom Demonstrated print production skill: bleeds, color management, packaging files, press-ready output, large-format setup Strong photo retouching and color correction Working product photography ability, including studio lighting A portfolio showing finished production work you built yourself, not only concepts or AI output How you work Genuinely detail-oriented and focused on consistency, the kind of person who catches a misalignment in spacing, font size, or grid alignment, or a color that is off by a shade Fast without getting sloppy, and able to tell which projects need speed and which need care Manages priorities across several projects with competing deadlines Communicates proactively about status, blockers, and timelines without being asked Comfortable working independently and rebuilding process where it is undocumented Uses AI tools with judgment: as an accelerant on ideation and iteration, not as a substitute for design skill Takes direction and critique, then iterates without ego Willing to learn and driven to keep growing as a designer, staying current with program updates and design trends Able to work on-site in San Luis Obispo five days a week Nice to have Experience in home products, kitchen & bath, interior design, architecture, furniture, or another premium consumer category Large-format, environmental graphics, or trade show experience
