Job Description

Graphic Artist / Apparel Designer About the Role We are looking for an experienced, organized, and self-directed Graphic Artist / Apparel Designer to join our fast-paced creative team. The ideal candidate is a strong critical thinker who can take a design brief, understand the objective, determine the next steps, make smart creative decisions, and move a project from concept to final production with minimal supervision. We manage a high volume of projects for clients across a wide range of events, audiences, and visual styles. You will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to different client workflows, and consistently meet deadlines. What You'll Do
  • Take ownership of projects from brief through final production.
  • Develop original apparel graphics for a variety of clients, events, teams, and audiences.
  • Make independent creative decisions based on the target demographic, client objectives, visual trends, and production requirements.
  • Work across multiple artistic styles and projects while managing competing deadlines.
  • Identify and solve creative or production problems independently.
  • Adapt to different client workflows, creative guidelines, approval processes, and production specifications.
  • Maintain organized files and accurately follow detailed, multi-step production workflows.
  • Create color separated artwork and print ready production files.
  • Develop supporting graphics for social media, signage, and promotional materials.
  • Apply strong knowledge of color theory, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal team members.
What We're Looking For Independent & Organized You don't need step-by-step instructions to get started. You can interpret a brief, determine what needs to happen next, manage your workload, solve problems, and keep projects moving without constant supervision. Fast & Deadline-Driven We work extremely quickly and manage a high volume of work. You must be able to prioritize competing deadlines, work efficiently without sacrificing quality, and communicate early if an issue could affect a deadline. Artistically Strong & Adaptable You have a strong portfolio demonstrating original work across multiple styles. You understand what makes an effective apparel graphic and have a sharp eye for composition, typography, color, proportion, and detail. You can adapt your style to different audiences rather than relying on one personal aesthetic. Technically Precise Our artwork must work in production, not just look good on screen. You understand screen-printing, color limitations, spot separations, and production-ready file preparation. You are comfortable following detailed processes where small mistakes can have significant downstream consequences. Client-Focused You can understand what a client is asking for, even when a brief isn't perfectly written, communicate professionally, handle feedback, and manage revisions efficiently.
Qualifications Required:
  • Professional experience in graphic design, illustration, apparel design, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating original artwork and multiple artistic styles.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex production processes accurately.
  • Strong understanding of color, composition, typography, and visual communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strongly Preferred:
  • Screen-printing and apparel production experience.
  • Experience creating spot-color separations.
  • Experience preparing production-ready artwork.
  • Experience working with sports, events, teams, or youth-oriented brands.
  • Experience creating social media graphics and signage.
The Ideal Candidate You're a great artist and a great operator. You work quickly, stay organized, solve problems without waiting to be told what to do, and take ownership of your work from beginning to end. If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced creative environment, we'd love to see your work.
