Overview Well established sign shop looking to add another Signage Graphic Artist to draw custom signs ready for print. We currently work with Roland roll to roll vinyl, cold laminators and Graphtec cutter/plotters to make vinyl signage to apply to different substrates like ACM, aluminum, PVC, polystyrene and many others. You will collaborate with our sales staff to bring designs to life for our customers based on information that the customers provide. Must enjoy working as a team and listen/communicate well with others to eliminate confusion and streamline the design process. Our mission is to learn our customers' demanding design standards and then use that knowledge to design signs and products that fit these standards every time. This recipe has allowed us to become the preferred source for many national and even global companies. While many designs seem basic, there is great importance in attention to detail and replicating the same fonts, colors, sizes, logos and so on that our customers demand in order to create a uniform look across their brand. Responsibilities Develop and execute creative signage concepts, ensuring alignment with branding guidelines and project objectives. Design visually engaging graphics for both print and digital signage, utilizing mainly Adobe Illustrator. Prepare design files for production or print, adhering to prepress standards, color management protocols, and print specifications. Collaborate with marketing teams to create signage that supports campaigns, events, or brand initiatives. Oversee sign manufacturing processes by providing detailed production designs and specifications for sign fabrication teams. Skills Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, any other applicable software is a bonus. Expertise in digital art, illustration, typography design for media, layout design, and print production. Knowledge of color theory, color management, typesetting, and visual hierarchy to create compelling signage solutions. Experience with sign manufacturing processes and sign production techniques including prepress procedures. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Excellent presentation skills for communicating design concepts clearly to team members. We are currently out of space so we're posting this as a hybrid position. We now own a much larger property and will begin the process of building that out so over time we can discuss what is best for everyone and adapt accordingly as space allows.
