Job Description :
The Composites Product Engineer is directly responsible for ensuring the structural validity of all composite components. This includes both structural and cosmetic fiberglass components and all subsequent testing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Define and design component specifications for composite structures from design through manufacturing completion. Generate Engineering models, drawings, and Bills of Material for new designs. Approve mechanical models and drawings for release. Generate Engineering change notices as required. Evaluate and advise on the impact of new product, programs, and strategies. Ensure and acquire component and system compliance with industry standards. Review and approve owner's manuals for accurate and complete mechanical descriptions and information. Evaluate and test new composite structures for ISO and CE compliance based upon industry equations for marine structural loading Assist with technical aspects of all Product recall campaigns. Coordinate with vendors on new products and materials. Assist production with integration of new model laminate structures and material updated to existing models. Yearly testing of all new chemical and structural components, to include UV, patch ability, and flexural. Generate all new laminate and core pattern files for the Zund fiberglass cutter and AXYZ router table. Corporate representative in product liability litigation.

Qualifications:
¨ Experience, Competencies and Education BS in Mechanical Engineering or related Technical field 3D CAD Modeling experience, preferably SolidWorks and Rhino Experience in composites and composite structure design An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, decisive, good judgment, and strong operational focus. A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor to both engineering and production employee's. ¨ Language Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex technical documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
