On-site Core Responsibilities Engineer and innovate new product lines for residential and commercial HVAC and construction markets Optimize existing designs to enhance overall performance, manufacturing efficiency, and cost-effectiveness Direct and facilitate stage-gate workflows to ensure successful new product development Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to draft detailed concepts, 3D models, and technical schematics Coordinate the fabrication of prototypes through 3D printing, machine shops, and external partners to improve product quality Execute finite element analysis to assess structural integrity and drive design refinements Design and oversee laboratory testing protocols to verify product performance and ensure design compliance Interpret testing data to provide actionable recommendations for design adjustments Utilize mechanical engineering expertise and systematic problem-solving to address complex technical challenges Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring seamless transitions from initial concept to full-scale production Convert complex customer needs into clear, measurable engineering goals Foster cross-functional partnerships with operations, quality, sales, and manufacturing teams Document all technical specifications, test results, and project milestones to maintain accurate records Assess various materials and production methods to optimize new and current product offerings Balance multiple project timelines to ensure all critical deadlines are met Contribute to organizational efficiency by supporting Lean and Kaizen continuous-improvement efforts Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring all engineering outputs meet regulatory and quality standards Participate in occasional travel as required for project needs Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field Minimum of three years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, R&D, or product design Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design tasks Practical experience working with AutoCAD Proven track record in the development and enhancement of manufactured goods Hands-on background in building prototypes and conducting product performance testing Solid understanding of production processes, material properties, and lab measurement instrumentation Ability to produce and analyze complex engineering drawings and technical documentation Strong organizational and project management capabilities to drive results Proven capacity to handle multiple concurrent assignments effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration Self-directed, hands-on professional who thrives in both independent and team-based settings Preferred Qualifications Experience utilizing finite element analysis tools, specifically SolidWorks Simulation Background in the design of HVAC systems, mechanical components, or construction-related products Proven success in guiding projects from the conceptual phase through to market launch Familiarity with structured stage-gate processes for product development Proficiency with CAD/CAM software applications Working knowledge of Kaizen and Lean manufacturing principles Experience with 3D printing, machine shop operations, and formal design validation testing Three to five years of relevant engineering experience Interview Process Initial phone screening In-person interview with the hiring team Technical Proficiencies Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software Product development and design lifecycle Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Tools and Technologies CAD software including SolidWorks and AutoCAD
