Job Description

As a Design Specialist you will lead clients through the home design process, translating their vision into functional, well-executed plans while delivering an exceptional client experience. This role manages design and drafting efforts, coordinates client selections, and collaborates closely with drafters, vendors, and construction teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency from preconstruction through closing. Success in this role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to seamless coordination and homeowner satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads homebuyer design consultations and communications Owns vendor relationships, documentation, and build execution handoffs Drives participation in design studio presentation and model staging Updates and processes paperwork for selections and pricing addendums Shares plan structural knowledge with clients Approves appropriate design requests including sourcing, pricing, and construction Exercises discretion and independent judgement with regards to design requests before implementation Delegates tasks to Design & Sales Operations Coordinator throughout each meeting and build timeline Navigates the design studio and samples with clients Executes electrical walkthroughs and finalizes electrical requests Works directly with internal drafting and operations teams on managing each project ensuring information is gathered and in place to keep construction process on schedule and correctly communicated Works directly with construction managers to ensure proper implementation of design and/or products Improves awareness of design trends, products, and materials Delivers customer experience and satisfaction
Skills:

Experience:
