Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to understand their renovation goals and provide expert guidance on cabinetry, countertops, windows, flooring, and window treatments. Create detailed layout designs using SketchUp, CAD software, or other technical tools to visualize project concepts clearly. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase features and benefits of various materials and fixtures. Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, active listening, and personalized service to ensure satisfaction throughout the remodeling process. Assist customers with inside sales by upselling complementary products such as lighting fixtures or remodeling accessories while maintaining a focus on high-end sales standards. Manage project details from initial consultation through deal closing, including negotiating prices and terms to secure successful sales outcomes. Maintain organized records of client interactions using CRM systems; handle POS transactions and cash handling accurately. Stay informed on industry trends in interior design, construction materials, and remodeling techniques to provide innovative solutions. Support store merchandising by stocking products appropriately and ensuring displays are attractive and up-to-date. Collaborate with contractors and vendors during installation or maintenance phases to ensure quality standards are met. Experience Proven experience in outside sales or inside retail sales within the home improvement or remodeling industry. Familiarity with layout design tools such as SketchUp or CAD; experience with lighting design is a plus. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing high-end sales deals effectively. Knowledge of renovation processes, construction practices, or remodeling projects enhances your ability to advise clients confidently. Multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for building lasting client relationships. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; CRM system experience is preferred for managing customer data efficiently. Organizational skills that enable multitasking across product demos, client consultations, stock management, and project follow-ups.
